Algar has "all the company's facilities and activities certified"

Algar, the company responsible for the treatment of urban solid waste produced in the 16 municipalities of the Algarve, maintains "all the company's facilities and activities certified". 

Thus, this company renewed the certification of the Integrated Quality, Environment and Safety Management System.

According to Telma Robim, managing director of Algar, “the company was audited between the 21st and 24th of November. having been considered by the certifying entity, APCER, that the necessary conditions for the Transition of the Integrated Management System implemented in all administrative, support and operational units were met».

This includes 'the selective collection activity, two landfills, eight transfer stations, 13 ecocentres, two sorting stations, three biogas energy recovery units, three green waste composting units, three leachate treatment units and an organic valorization center».

“All the company's facilities and activities remain certified, leaving us very satisfied,” says Telma Robim.

«The confirmation of the maintenance and transition of certification recognizes that the management of Algar's multi-municipal system of selective collection, transfer of waste, sorting and treatment of solid waste is carried out with respect for the high quality standards of the services provided, especially when it talks about the treatment of around 400 thousand tons of urban waste per year», says this company.
