In certain places, tradition adapts to modern times and is fulfilled, crossing the memories of the past with the traces of the present. This is how it is in the village of Santa Susana, in the municipality of Alcácer do Sal, where Christmas wood has been burning since December 24, in the central square, and there it will remain lit until the New Year, to welcome you.

The bonfire, made with cork oak firewood provided by Sartal – Agricultural Society for Forest Repopulation, from Herdade dos Álamos, gives life to this tradition recovered in the 80s by the Union of Parishes of Alcácer do Sal (Santa Maria do Castelo and Santiago) and Santa Susana.
