A concert with the songs of “O Mundo de Sara”, on the 11th, “More Respect that I'm Your Mother”, with Joaquim Monchique, on the 17th and 18th, or stand up comedy by Guilherme Duarte, from the blog “Por Falar” In Another Thing", are proposed for the month of November at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.

This is an agenda that promises «a month of intense and diversified programming, with opera, cinema, music, social gatherings and comedy», according to Teatro das Figuras.

From the 7th to the 10th of November, the seventh art is highlighted with the 18th edition of the French Film Festival.

The initiative is from the Institut Français du Portugal, the French Embassy and the Alliance Française network, which brings the Faro some of the most recent productions in French cinema, showing the variety and richness of French cinematographic culture.

On Saturday 11th, at 15:30 pm, the little ones will be able to watch the concert live with the songs of “O Mundo de Sara”, accompanying Sara on a study tour full of adventures.

On the 16th, Thursday, at 18:00 pm, the teacher, musician and association leader Paulo Cunha will be the guest of the gathering “No Teatro Às 6”, addressing the theme “The Sound Landscape”.

On the 16th and 17th «two full houses are expected», according to Teatro das Figuras, to celebrate the 30 years of Joaquim Monchique's career with the play “Mais Respect que Sou Tua Mãe”.

“The renowned actor plays the role of a desperate family mother and housewife, from Baixa da Tuba, fighting for survival in the chaos of her family environment,” says Teatro das Figuras.

Shows are scheduled for 21:30 pm on both days.

On Saturday, the 18th, at 10:00 am and 11:00 am, babies up to two years old will have the opportunity to enjoy yet another “Music from Parents to Children”, this time with José Alegre.

The initiative “will lead small spectators to discover the Portuguese guitar and other traditional Portuguese instruments”.

On the same day, at 21 pm, the Grand Gala of the Accordion will take place, which in this edition honors Hermenegildo Guerreiro, accordionist and composer who has distinguished himself in teaching the art of playing accordion.

On the 23rd, Thursday, the stage is for stand up comedy with the first solo show by Guilherme Duarte, author of the blog “Por Falar Noutra Coisa”. From 21 pm and for an hour, «the comedian promises to make the audience laugh with his humor full of irony and sarcasm».

The month's program ends on the 25th with a concert that celebrates the career of “Sean Riley & The Slowriders” and marks the 10th anniversary of the release of their debut album Farewell, with a reissue of the work and a national tour, which he revisits in full that disc. The show is scheduled for 21:30 pm.
