The French Film Festival will also be held in Faro between the 7th and 10th of November. Teatro das Figuras is once again hosting this initiative and showing the seventh art from France, from recent films to the great classics, including author cinema.

The kick-off for this show is given on the 7th of November, at 21 pm, with the screening of the film “Jeune Femme”, by Léonor Serraille.

The next day, November 8th, there are three sessions. The first, scheduled for 10 am, is aimed at the school public and will show the work “Corniche Kennedy”, by Dominique Cabrera. At 30 pm, the film “Rosalie Blum”, by Julien Rappeneau, and at 19 pm, “L'Économie du Couple”, by Joachim Lafosse, will be screened.

On the 9th, at 19 pm, the public will be able to see “Compte tes Blessures”, by Morgan Simon, and at 00 pm, they can watch “Le Fils de Jean”, by Philippe Lioret.

On November 10, students from schools in Faro they once again have the opportunity to go to Teatro das Figuras to see French cinema, this time the film “Tour de France”, by Rachid Djaïdani.

The French Film Festival ends with the exhibition of the works “Droles d'Oiseaux”, by Élise Girard (19:00), and “Monsieur & Madame Adelman”, by Nicolas Bedos (22:00).

Tickets for each session cost 3,5 euros for the general public and 3 euros for those under 30 and over 65. Members of Alliance Française and Cineclube de Faro pay 1 euro.

The French Film Festival is organized by the Institut Français du Portugal, the French Embassy and the Alliance Française network. In addition to Lisbon, where it began 18 years ago, the initiative is taking place in other 11 cities in the country, including Faro.
