Somincor, the concession company for the Neves-Corvo mine, has just launched a tender for the rehabilitation of the exterior space at the entrance to the main office building at the mine, open to young students aged 16 to 25, residing in the municipalities of Castro Verde, Almodôvar, Aljustrel, Mértola or Ourique.

The initiative has the support of groups of schools in these five municipalities in Alentejo and the Employment and Professional Training Center of Beja.

The winner will receive a prize of 1.000 euros and their work will be applied by the company in the space outside the entrance to the main office building.

“Promoting young people's creativity and simultaneously getting closer to the community, opening up new forms of interaction with all generations, is one of our goals. We want a Somincor that is increasingly integrated into the communities and having with us quality artistic work, created by young people in our region, will be a huge reason to be proud”, said Dina Diogo, from Somincor's Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility Department.

All works will be evaluated by a jury composed of elements from Somincor, partners and the communication agency Creative Minds.

In a first phase, the judges will nominate five finalists, one from each municipality, choosing the winner by majority vote in the second phase of evaluation.
