The exhibition “LOULÉ. Territories, Memories, Identities”, on display at the National Archeology Museum, in Lisbon, has already received the visit of 75.089 people, since its inauguration on June 21st.

August was a record holder: 17.665 people wanted to discover the cultural and material heritage of Loulé in that month alone.

In October, the return to classes and the beginning of school visits contributed to 15.377 people having contact with the 7 years of history presented in the exhibition.

With more than 500 cultural assets on display, the investment of “LOULÉ. Territories, Memories, Identities” in technology, at the service of greater accessibility to information, allows us to know which objects have aroused the most curiosity for visitors, who seek to know more by consulting the QR Codes, installed in the exhibition with their personal mobile phones.

The large and extensively engraved menhir, from the Municipal Museum of Loulé, is the item that raises the greatest demand for additional information on the part of visitors.

The menhir exhibition is accompanied by a set of photographs taken using state-of-the-art digital systems, including three-dimensional ones, which allow you to see prints that are not visible to the naked eye.

This is followed by the Bronze Age Necropolis of Vine do Casão and the stelae engraved with the Sudoeste Writing, the oldest script known in the Iberian Peninsula, dating back around 2500 years.

The exhibition “LOULÉ. Territories, Memories, Identities” presents more than 7 years of the county's history, reveals customs, eating habits and the daily life of the various civilizations that have passed through there through pieces
archaeological.

The exhibition is open until December 30, 2018, at the National Archeology Museum (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Lisbon), and can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00.
