Two 29-year-old men suspected of theft, mainly of tobacco, in establishments in Quarteira and Albufeira, were arrested this Wednesday, the 8th, by the GNR's Loulé Criminal Investigation Nucleus.

The Guard also recovered a stolen tobacco machine in Almancil during the operation and seized 878 doses of cannabis.

According to the GNR, "the suspects had as their main target the theft of tobacco, through breaking into machines placed in food and beverage establishments."

As part of the investigation, two house searches were carried out and, in addition to the tobacco and drug machine, 63 packs of tobacco, a greenhouse for the production of cannabis, a precision digital scale, a drug crushing mill, a replica were also seized. of a revolver, a fist, a butterfly knife, two mobile phones, a mask and 2930 euros in cash.

The detainees were constituted defendants and subject to a term of identity and residence.

The action had the collaboration of the Intervention Detachment of Faro and the Technical Support Center of Faro.
