The responsibilities of the municipal executive of Olhão have already been distributed to the mayor and the other four councilors, elected by the PS, in the Municipal Elections of 1 October. 

Thus, the following areas of activity will be under the authority of António Pina, Mayor of the City Council: Financial and Property Management, Human Resources Management, Public Contracting, IT and Telecommunications, Strategic Planning and Community Funds, Legal Area, Tourism, Relations Public Companies, Municipal Companies, GAL and Fire, Security and Civil Protection.

The executive leader's office hours are on Thursdays, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Councilor Carlos Martins, who will receive the citizens at the same time, will be responsible for Urban Planning, Public Works, Private Works, Inspection, Urban Planning and Spatial Planning and Management of Public Spaces.

Gracinda Rendeiro will be responsible, in this term, for the areas of activity of Culture and Youth, Administrative Modernization, Quality Certification, Toponymy, Medical-Veterinary Intervention and Public Health Defense and International Relations.

The councilor will be available to listen to residents on Tuesdays, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

António Camacho is responsible for Education, Sports and Leisure, Construction and Maintenance, Environment, Municipal Transport, Traffic and Reduced Mobility.

Office hours are on Thursdays, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Finally, councilwoman Elsa Parreira, who will receive the citizens at the same time, will be responsible for the areas of Social Solidarity, Social Housing, Social Action, Health, Urban Transport and Cemeteries.

The Socialist Party obtained an absolute majority in Olhão in the last municipal councils, having elected four councilors, against two in the coalition that brought together PSD, CDS-PP, MPT and PPM: Luciano Jesus and Daniel Santana.
