The exhibition “Insetos em Ordem” can be seen at the headquarters of the Natural Park of Vale do Guadiana, in Mértola, from November 16th to December 29th. The inauguration will take place at 14:30 pm and is part of the park's anniversary schedule.

The “Insects in Order” exhibition creates the concept of a labyrinth and a game of clues: visitors receive, at the entrance, an insect preserved in resin and have to follow a dichotomous key built with plates placed on the floor and colored paths until they reach the identification of the Order.

This is a playful-pedagogical exhibition that highlights the importance of insects in ecosystems; presenting itself as a dynamic and creative educational tool capable of motivating various audiences towards the theme of environmental education.

The production is by Tagis, the Center for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Change and the National Museum of Natural History and Science, under the “O Mundo na Escola” program, with funding from Ciência Viva and the Foundation for Science and Technology.

The presence and promotion of the exhibition in Mértola is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Mértola, Vale do Guadiana Natural Park and ALSUD.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm. On Saturdays, it is open to the public from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm. Schools must make pre-booking obligatorily.
