The Rally Casinos do Algarve, which will host the final of the European Rally Cup, takes place on November 17th and 18th, in Lagos, Portimão and Monchique, having already confirmed the presence of teams from the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania or Denmark. 

The highlights are, then, the presence of the Czech duo Vojtech Stajf/Markéta Skácelová, with a Skoda Fabia R5, coming from the “Central European Trophy”.

From the same championship comes the Polish duo Adrian Wronkowski/Bartosz Herban, in a Peugot 208 R2, but to compete for the title in the ERT 3 category.

The Lithuanian team Jonas Pipiras/Aisvydas Paliukènas, with a Peugeot 208 R2, and coming from the Baltic Rally Trophy, as well as the Danish Carsten Jensen/Michael Fasterholdt, who man a Renault Clio RS R3T with which they won, are also confirmed in this category. the category in the “Benelux Rally Trophy”.

Another category winner present is the Georgian duo Plamen Staykov/”Davidone” who bring the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX with which they won the ERT2 category in the “Balkan Rally Trophy”.

Added to this are a trio of R5 vehicles from Ireland: the Ford Fiestas, by Joe Connolly/Sean Mullaly and Pauric Duffy/Andy Hayes (the man who sailed Craig Breen to victory in the recent Mortagua Rally), and the Skoda Fabia by John Mulholland/Jeff Case.

As designated by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) as the final of the European Rally Cup, the Casinos do Algarve Rally gives the «possibility of the five best classifieds in the four categories, which make up the seven regional trophies that were part of this competition in 2017 , dispute the conquest of a European trophy under the aegis of the FIA”, explains the organization.
