Last Friday, the 6th of October, the Maritime Police seized two hand hooks on the island of Armona.

The apprehension was made as part of an action to inspect fishing with trawl gear. In addition to the seized hooks, the Maritime Police raised two news reports and identified a man "for using that gear without having the proper fishing license", reveals the Maritime Authority (AM).

«The exercise of fishing with this type of art, considered professional fishing art, without having a specific license, constitutes an administrative offense punishable by fines between €748,20 and €49.879,79», concludes AM.
