A meeting on domestic violence and the play “Mariana num Mundo Igual” are proposed to mark the Municipal Day of Equality, on 24 October, in Odemira.
Even so, there will be, throughout the month of October, various activities on this topic, such as awareness-raising actions with children in pre-school and primary education.
The objective "is to sensitize the community to the importance of promoting gender equality", in an "initiative that results from the Municipal Plan for Gender Equality", says the Chamber of Odemira.
On the 9th of October, at the José Saramago Municipal Library, between 10 am and 00 pm, the meeting on “Domestic Violence and Gender Equality” will take place within the scope of GOVINT / Integrated Governance.
Between the 23rd and the 27th of October, the 18 kindergartens in the municipality of Odemira will receive the presentation of the play “O Pão da Maruxa”, by the Cabanita Theater Group.
On the 27th of October, from 14 pm, at the Cineteatro Camacho Costa, the award ceremony will take place in the “Odemira Literária” competition, on Gender Equality, promoted by the Municipality of Odemira.
In the afternoon, the play “Mariana num Mundo Igual” will be presented, with the actress Mariana Monteiro, directed to the children of the 1st Cycle of the Group of Schools of Odemira.
