Program-contracts worth 200 thousand were signed between the Portuguese Sports Institute and 27 associations and clubs in the Algarve. The support granted has as main objective “to promote the requalification of sports facilities at the service of the population”.
These contracts were signed under the programs for the Rehabilitation of Sports Facilities (PRID) and the National Program for Sports for All (PNDpT), to which 79 applications were submitted by Algarve entities.
Seven of the 27 applications approved in the Algarve will be supported by PRID, which, according to the Regional Directorate for the Algarve of the IPDJ, «has as its main objective to promote the requalification of sports facilities at the service of the population».
The PNDpT, for its part, supports “the promotion of healthy lifestyles, education and social integration through sport for all”.
«These supports are fundamental tools and instruments for the sporting development of the associative movement in the region. In 2018, the IPDJ intends to continue these two programs, thus being able to financially support clubs and sports associations or those that promote sports activity», added the institute.
