Ana Rente and Beatriz Martins, with 45.300 points, won the bronze medal in the Women's Synchronized Trampoline final, in the Trampolines Gymnastics World Cup, held this Saturday afternoon, at the Loulé Municipal Pavilion.

«It was a very strong competition. We had a good performance and the icing on the cake was that we got the medal of 3rd place in a competition organized in Portugal», said Ana Rente, at the end of the competition.

For her part, Beatriz Martins commented: «This was an important competition, in the sense that it is part of the preparation for the World Cup in November, and as such, we are very pleased to have managed to enter a final as competitive as this one, and above all for having achieved bronze».

This was the best Portuguese performance of this last day of competition, with the Portuguese gymnasts participating in four other finals.

In Tumbling Women, after two well-executed series, Raquel Pinto was ranked 4th, with a total of 66.000 points, while Maria Barba was 7th with 60.400 points.

On the male side, João Saraiva finished the race in 8th place with 62.000 points.

In the Men's Individual Trampoline Specialty, the Olympian Diogo Abreu had a good performance, maintaining the position of qualification. Abreu was 6th with 59.835 points.

In Male Synchronized Trampoline, things didn't go as intended. The pair Diogo Abreu / Diogo Ganchinho had a failure, not being able to complete the series, a fact that was reflected in the note and consequently in the final classification. The gymnasts ended their participation in 5th place with 26.150 points.
