The mayor of Lagoa reappointed yesterday, at the first executive meeting after taking possession, councilor Nuno Amorim as vice president, having also distributed the portfolios.
Thus, in this new term, President Francisco Martins is responsible for General Coordination, Culture, Financial Management, Gender Equality and Citizenship, Administrative Modernization, Strategic Planning, Civil Protection and Urban Planning.
Vice President Nuno Amorim directs the areas of Water, Environment, Purchasing, Green Spaces and Gardens, Machinery and Vehicles, Urban Waste, Sanitation and Smart City.
Councilor Luís Encarnação will coordinate the areas of Sports, Economic Development, Education, Parishes, Youth, Markets and Fairs, Human Resources, Tourism and Cemeteries.
Councilwoman Anabela Simão is responsible for Social Action, Agriculture and Fisheries, Legal Office, Geminations, Fontes Municipal Park, Health and Veterinary Medicine.
Councilor Jorge Pardal, who is a member of the executive for the first time, is in charge of Public Lighting, Logistics, Maintenance of Municipal Buildings, Beaches and Coastlines, Road Network, Signaling and Traffic, Toponymy and Municipal Inspection.
The two councilors elected by the opposition, José Inácio and Mário Vieira, will exercise their mandates without any assigned responsibility.
In this 2017/2021 term, city council meetings will be held every two weeks, on Tuesdays, from 9:30 am, and will be open to public participation.
