An earthquake measuring 2.9 (Richter), whose epicenter was located in the territory of Spain, about 30 kilometers northeast of the Alentejo village of Barrancos, was felt this morning by the population.

The earthquake was registered at the stations of the Mainland Seismic Network this Tuesday, the 12th, at 7:35 am, informed the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere.

Yesterday at the end of the afternoon, at 19:09 pm, it was the turn of a 3.6 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale has been felt in various parts of the Algarve, including Portimão, Lagoa, Lagos, Monchique, Silves, Armação de Pêra and even further afield, in Albufeira, Loulé and Faro.

In this case, the epicenter of the earthquake was located about eight kilometers northwest of Portimão, 20 kilometers deep, according to IPMA.
