The penultimate test of the Oliveira Cup, School of Motorcycling Trophy, whose mentor is Miguel Oliveira, will take place in Portimão, on the same weekend as the World Superbike Championship.

The Moto2 rider of Red Bull KTM Ajo will be present and will even race in this 6th race of the championship, on 16 and 17 September, just a few meters from the Autodromo do Algarve, at the KIA – Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve.

“This is the penultimate test of the Oliveira Cup, so the Championship is starting to get closer. The final accounts are starting to weigh on our little riders and we are closer to the end of the first edition of this motorcycle school project”, explains the Moto2 rider at Red Bull KTM Ajo.

“If you're going to the Algarve to see the big bikes [Superbikes], don't miss out on the opportunity to get to know the Oliveira Cup and its talents!” invites Miguel Oliveira, mentor of the Oliveira Cup project.

After the intense competition experienced in the last race in Santo André, with many overtakings throughout the two legs of the journey, everything is open in the lead of the championship. Only 5 points separate the first and second classified in the MiniGP category, respectively, Tomás Alonso and Pedro Fragoso.

Miguel Oliveira, after the Misano GP this weekend, will be present at this race at the KIA, in the Naked category, reserved for riders over 16 years old and with no age limit.

The leadership in this category belongs to the Spaniard Javier Gomez, with 92 points, followed by André Pereira and Luís Castro, with 91 and 88 points, respectively.

Over the weekend, there will also be space for an autograph session by the Portuguese pilot, at 14 pm on September 16th (Saturday), at the Miguel Oliveira Fan Club counter.

The Oliveira Cup is a motorcycle school project that has 7 races throughout the season. This project is based on finding new talents from 10 to 16 years old, supported by Miguel Oliveira Fan Club, the official club of the pilot from Almada.
