José Apolinário, president of the Municipal Assembly of Faro, wants ANA Aeroportos to inform the municipal groups and the body it presides over the company's strategy for the "serious parking problem" that exists around the airport of Faro, in the parish of Montenegro.

In a letter sent, on 25 August, to the president of the ANA Board of Directors, Apolinário, who is re-candidated for the Municipal Assembly by the PS, he says that “in Montenegro, in the area adjacent to the airport, parked vehicles are increasing, in many cases anarchically, as a result of the pricing policy for parking at the Airport».

José Apolinario

For José Apolinário, this situation contradicts «the commitments assumed with the Municipality, of the absence and planning in the location of vehicles allocated to the various rental services and workers of the various services at the Airport».

José Apolinário adds that "ANA Aeroportos has preferred not to listen to representatives of the various municipal groups" and asks the company to say what is the "short and medium term strategy for the serious problem of parking" and what is the "strategic vision for its resolution, of course to be agreed with the Municipality'.

The parking problems in Montenegro have been dragging on for several months, with no solution in sight, such as the Sul Informação counted in this reporter.
