The “Masters Cup” futsal tournament takes place this weekend, August 26th and 27th, at Portimão Arena, and brings together four of the best European teams in the sport: Sporting, Benfica, Movistar Inter FS and Futbol Club Barcelona Lassa .

This “is an excellent opportunity to see the four biggest European powers in the sport in action and to watch matches of a high competitive level”, says Câmara de Portimão.

Not least because of the teams in competition there are three winners of the UEFA Futsal Cup, the most prestigious futsal competition in Europe: Benfica, Barcelona and Movistar. Last season, for example, the final of the competition pitted two teams that will play in the “Masters Cup”: Sporting and Movistar.

In the second edition of this competition, Movistar, where the Portuguese player Ricardinho, elected as the best player in the world, plays, has the opportunity to revalidate the title he won in the first edition of the “Masters Cup”.

On Friday, 25th August, at 18 pm, there will be an opening/solidarity match that will pit Portimonense against Real Bétis Balompié, from Seville.

This match is included in the 3rd edition of the “Cidade de Portimão” Trophy and the ticket revenue reverts to an IPSS. On that same day it will be possible, from 15:00 pm, to watch Futsal team matches at the Benjamin/Pesky, beginners, children and youth levels of local clubs: Boavista, Clube Desportivo e Recreativo (CDR) Pedra Mourinha, Gil Eanes Juventude Portimonense Clube (Gejupce) and Portimonense.

Tickets for the “Masters Cup Futsal” are now on sale. Ticket prices are 5 euros per game and can be purchased at the following points of sale: Portimão Arena, from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 14:00 pm to 16:00 pm, every weekday and on game days from 10:00 am, and at the Theater Portimão, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 13:30 pm to 18:00 pm.
