The municipality of Vila Real de Santo António approved, this Tuesday, at a Chamber meeting, the reinstatement of the 25 days of vacation for its workers, to the detriment of the current 22 days.

The Chamber of VRSA explains that "with this measure, the municipality joins other entities that are advancing in restoring this benefit for civil servants provided for in the General Labor Law in Public Functions".

The proposal – presented by the CDU – will be formalized through a collective labor regulation instrument, "now starting the negotiation process with all parties, with a view to signing an agreement", adds the municipality.

With this measure, the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António «intends to reward the merit and performance of its employees, promoting, in the same way, measures to reconcile the family and professional life of its employees, a practice that has already led to the award of the award. “Most family-responsible local authority”», concludes the Chamber.
