A nutrition workshop inspired by Mediterranean ingredients, which brings together the arts and gastronomy, and the exhibition of documentaries on the region's cultural events are the proposals that the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve will bring to the Mediterranean Diet Fair, which takes place from the 7th to the 10th of September in the historic center of Tavira.

The Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve (DRCAlg) is one of the partners in this event, which aims to celebrate the Portuguese Mediterranean Diet, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013, and will contribute with initiatives that value both the gastronomic dimension and the traditions.

On the 9th of September, a Saturday, Largo do Brincar will host between 10:30 and 12:30 the “Incredible Food Workshop! – Art, creativity and gastronomy”, an educational project conceived and guided by Marina Palácio (Lagos Experimental Theatre).

«This is a creative, poetic and sensory nutrition workshop on Mediterranean foods, seasoned with aromatic music, creative writing and calligraphic typography. Its objective is to explore food in all its form, from food tasting, musical to literary, from books such as The Incredible Boy Who Ate Books, Cooking Notes by Leonardo da Vinci, A Aranha e Eu, O Livro das Sopas », according to DRCAlg.
