Aljezur will celebrate its municipal holiday on the 29th of August, but the party will start on the night of the 28th, with a multicultural party in the historic area. The following day, Monte Clérigo Beach hosts the Bath of 29, there will be a mega sardine and concert with Anselmo Ralph, at 22 pm, at the Espaço Multiusos in Aljezur.
At night a, Aljezur Multicultural Party, starts at 16:00 pm on the 28th, with the opening of the taverns and crafts and only ends after 00:30 am, when djs Isabel Figueira, Pedro Simões, from RFM and DJ Delight, perform at Largo do Mercado.
Tonight, which has white as dress code, will have fado, classical music, sing from the Alentejo, various performances, African dance, rock, DJ set, taverns, appetizers, handicrafts.
The commemorations of the Municipality Day, on the 29th, begin at 9:00 am, with the raising of the flag ceremony, and at 10:00 am, there will be a 6-kilometer walk, with a concentration scheduled for the old school of the Valleys.
At 11:00 am, Monte Clérigo beach receives the traditional Bath of the 29, with musical entertainment by the campaniça guitar group “Sons do Mira”.
In the afternoon, the party moves to the Espaço Multiusos de Aljezur, from 18 pm, with a Mega Sardinhada that will also have the sounds of bell guitars as an “accompaniment” and dance with Popo and Banda.
At 22 pm, the School Merit Award is scheduled to be delivered, followed by the performance of Anselmo Ralph, who closes the party.
