The voting of the two villages that will pass to the final of the contest “7 Maravilhas de Portugal” in the Rural Village category, in which the Algarvias Paderne (Albufeira) and Cachopo (Tavira) are pre-finalists, is scheduled for Sunday, the 16th of July .
Throughout Sunday, RTP will be live from Albufeira, with a Special Program about the 7 Wonders, which will take place at Largo Eng. Duarte Pacheco, in the heart of the city, while the scenery for the night's Gala is being prepared. which will take place in Paderne.
There is, however, news regarding the voting process. Thus, contrary to what had been announced, the production of the Program will allow for voting starting in the morning.
The RTP Special will be broadcast from 11:30 am to 13:00 pm and later from 17:15 pm to 20:00 pm.
Vanessa Oliveira, David Dias and Tiago Góes Ferreira are the hosts of the program, which will introduce the people, lives, arts, gastronomy, local products, tourism and renewable energies of the candidate villages throughout the country. “7 Wonders of Portugal” in the Rural Villages category.
The program takes place before the Gala, and will be broadcast from Largo Engº Duarte Pacheco, with several live notes, throughout the day, from the village of Paderne. Throughout the broadcast, there will be several musical moments starring groups and artists from the municipality of Albufeira.
The godparents of both Algarve applications – TVI sports commentator Fernando Correia, by Paderne, and the musician Luís Conceição, for Cachopo – will be present, trying to convince spectators across the country to vote in their villages. Also present in Albufeira will be the Mayor Carlos Silva e Sousa, the President of the Parish Council of Paderne, Miguel Coelho, the President of the Algarve Tourism Region, Desidério Silva.
Voting begins with the broadcast of the program at Largo Engº Duarte Pacheco. The telephone numbers will be announced at 11:30 am, and the lines will be available for voting until the end of the Gala, starting at 21:00 pm, from Largo do Estádio João Campos, in Paderne.
