Lagoa will have a Support Group for the Elderly, after a unanimous decision was taken at a plenary meeting of the Local Council for Social Action of Lagoa (CLAS).
This group will allow «to streamline procedures with regard to identification, signaling and network intervention with elderly people residing in the municipality, strengthening ties between people, technicians and the community», says the Câmara de Lagoa.
Through a form that will be available on the page of Internet of the Municipality but also in the entities and institutions that work directly with the elderly, it will be possible for any citizen to identify and signal situations of abuse, neglect, demographic isolation and emotional and/or physical fragility.
This is an initiative of the Municipality of Lagoa, within the scope of the Lagoa Social Network and in partnership with the National Republican Guard, Social Security Institute – Lagoa Local Service, Lagoa Health Center, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Estômbar, Centro de Social Support of Porches, Popular Center of Lagoa, Support Center for the Elderly of Ferragudo and Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firefighters of Lagoa.
