O FarFormosa project, presented on June 2nd, as a proposal for the redevelopment of the former industrial zone and commercial port of Faro, is the theme of another debate session promoted by the informal group «Faro à Conversa”, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 12, at 21 pm, at the Municipal Library of Faro.

The promoters of the initiative point out that "due to its territorial dimension and future extension of the city's urban space", the FarFormosa project "has already gained status of interest for an open and enlightening public debate".

The session will feature interventions by Rogério Bacalhau, president of the City Council of Faro, Adelino Canário, professor and researcher at the University of Algarve and director of the CCMAR Centro de Ciências do Mar, one of the promoters of the project, Óscar Ferreira, professor and researcher at the University of Algarve, and João Santos, representing the environmental association Almargem.

The debate is open to all citizens and intends to «create the space for public discussion that this proposal has not yet had with its promoters and with specialists in the matter».
