The fourth “Ethnographic Meeting Amendoeiras em Flor” took place last Saturday, 29 July, in Altura, and paid homage to the figure of the “miller”.
After an ethnographic parade through the streets of Altura, the groups – Grupo Coral da ADASA (Santo Amador – Moura), Folklore Group of Biscainho (Coruche), Folklore Group “Os Avieiros” of Escaroupim (Salvaterra de Magos) and Ethnographic Group “Amendoeiras em Flor” (Altura) – took the stage, in an event with a full house.
The initiative, under the "Tribute to the People", which has conducted all the editions, was organized by the ethnographic group “Amendoeiras em Flor”, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Castro Marim, Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve, Parish Council of Altura and support from local businesses.
The Associação Cultural Amendoeiras em Flor is a non-profit association that emerged from a group of friends with common goals for the development of activities and cultural promotions in Castro Marim and the Algarve.
