A asBolinhas.com app, which allows you to order balls from Berlin when you are at the beach, using your mobile phone and without leaving your seat, has already launched its version for iOS, I heard about Sul Informação with Ignácio Correia, mentor of that original application.

The asBolinhas app already had, just in the first days of its iPhone version, 250 downloads, while the initial version, for Android, was downloaded over 7300 times in less than a month, making it the most popular application in the food sector in Portugal.

The application was developed by Ignácio Correia and his team from Algardata, a company based in Loulé.

asbolinhas.com is a mobile application for georeferenced street sales, which combines something as traditional and charismatic as the distribution of Berlin balls on the beach, with the latest mobility technologies and techniques Marketplace.

In practice, the application allows anyone to download it to their smartphone, find a Berlin dot seller nearby and order without even getting up from your beach towel. Once the seller is ten meters away, the person who ordered receives a notice on their mobile phone, with payment being made in cash.

The classic balls with cream and no cream are guaranteed, but in the Algarve, where the app was launched on 1 July, there are also versions of carob and various creams, such as apple.

A month later, the application, which started with two vendors at Praia da Falésia, already covers (almost) the entire coastline from north to south of the country…and extends to other products.

Ignacio Correia, who was the guest of the last Beta Talk, also announced that in addition to the balls, the application is already being used to sell fruit and waffles on the beach. And among the members of the group that developed the application at Algardata, there are those who want to extend it to the sale of «pizzas, sangrias and shrimp patties». The possibility of ordering "beer, cola or somersby" at festivals such as the Southwest is also being studied. "People ask and the seller goes to them," explained the application mentor.

This launch was «a market test», explained Ignacio Correia. The goal is to reach 10 thousand downloads on Android and iOS. In the first case, you are close to achieving that goal. "Now it's up to us to turn this into a business."

Born in La Plata, Argentina, since the age of four, Ignácio Correia has lived in the Algarve, a region that captured his heart and where he graduated in Graphic Design. He has such an extensive curriculum that it is difficult to fit his experience into 31 years of age.

At the age of 16, he takes the first step with the management and execution of a project, which turned out to be the first of many web platforms developed by the digital agency he founded in the meantime and which, even today, determines the creative and commercial paths - Unykvis .

Enthusiastic and completely in love with everything that is technology and digital marketing, he masters the latest technologies and the most original ways to approach the market, with Google, Adwords, Analytics and Social Media certifications.

As head of Algardata's Innovation and Development Department, there are several B2B, B2C and B2G platforms in its irreverent portfolio of projects; UnykTV, a communication platform cloud-based; Mobile Entreprise and Mobile Logistics and SIGER, a solution for Waste Management.

The restless little animal that moves him, leads him to explore, at this moment, areas such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence e Big Data and is looking forward to starting dealing cards in Creative Experience Marketing.

A asPolkas app can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple Store online stores.
