The Southeast (or Levante) that brought the clouds that will cloud the Algarve sky at least until mid-afternoon this Tuesday, June 13, also caused swells on the south coast, which can reach two meters in height, taking the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere to place the coastal strip under Yellow Warning.

According to forecasts by meteorologists, the periods of greatest cloudiness on the southern coast of the Algarve may persist in the Barlavento region.

The Levante led to a drop in the maximum temperature in the Algarve region, which is, in fact, on this Santo António Day, the coolest in the country. But it raised the temperature of the sea water, which today should be around 22 degrees.

The wind will be light to moderate (up to 25 km/h) from the south, being moderate to strong (30 to 40 km/h) from the southeast, sometimes with gusts up to 65 km/h, in the Algarve until mid-morning and turning from the west quadrant starting in the afternoon.
