Almost a year ago, the first aquarium was installed by volunteers from both organizations., with the support of health professionals (and not only) from the hospital itself, at the Oncology Day Hospital in Portimão. The aquarium, whose assembly the Sul Informação followed, has had "an extraordinary and positive effect on patients and professionals."
The new aquarium, called «Harmony», is already installed in the living room of that unit and aims to «providing a harmonious environment and bringing “a little light” to the lives of users who are receiving the necessary care in an acute or advanced phase. of illness and their family members who accompany them'.
On the 16th, 17th and 18th of June, once again, volunteers from the Team Aquariofilia.Net they will move from various parts of the country, to form another “little piece” of underwater nature. Captained by Pedro Bernardo from Portimo, Friday and Saturday will be occupied with the assembly of equipment and the artistic design of the hardscape, the landscape of stones, wood and sand of the aquarium.
On Sunday, the final stage of the assembly, with the mastery of the aquascapers of the Aquarifilia.Net Team, the plants that came from the Netherlands will be placed, and the system starts, preparing itself to receive the fauna (fish, shrimp and snails) in the following month.
