Sharing experiences, addressing the power and importance that entrepreneurship assumes in job creation and making known the various types of support available in this area. These are the main objectives of “Lagos Start on to Start up”, an event promoted by the Municipality of Lagos, on the 9th and 10th of June, and totally dedicated to entrepreneurship.

The first day, Friday, June 9th, opens at 9:45 am in the Auditorium Paços do Concelho Século XXI, with the colloquium “Alternative forms of corporate financing”, which includes specialists such as Marco Fernandes, executive president of PME Investimentos, Francisco Banha, honorary president of the National Federation of Business Angels Associations, and Rita Gonçalves, regional executive director of ANJE in the Algarve.

During the initiative, speakers will discuss alternatives to bank credit for companies or the importance of Business Angels for business dynamism.

Also in the morning, at 11 am, the presentation of the INOVA Algarve 30 Project and the launch of the BIALG – Barometer for Innovation in the Algarve will take place.

The following day, Saturday, June 10, will be dedicated to promoting the Entrepreneurship Forum, which includes a “Bettertalk”, during which topics such as incubation, tourism entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial education will be analyzed.

The debate, which takes place between 15 pm and 00 pm, at the Armazém Regimental, includes the participation of Hugo Vieira (from ANJE), Luís Soares (from the InCastro Project – Center for Ideas and Business), Elsa Pereira and Adão Flores (from the University from the Algarve) and also by Isabel Cação, Tatiana Tchemisova and Natália Martins (from the University of Aveiro).

The meeting ends with the promotion of Espaço SIC – “Share, Inspire and Connect”, a moment that encourages the sharing of entrepreneurial experiences and which takes place between 17:30 pm and 19:30 pm, at Bar Bonvivant.

The Municipality of Lagos wants this event to be one more contribution to the dynamism of entrepreneurship, companies and innovation and to open space for the implementation of new entrepreneurial ideas in the municipality.
