Castro Marim has already opened registrations for the “Active Summer Holidays”

Registration is already open for the 9th edition of the Active Summer Holidays of Castro Marim. The initiative, which is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 6 and 15, starts on the 26th of June and ends on the 8th of September.

According to the Chamber of Castro Marim, Active Summer Vacations aim to give the youngest «a set of sociocultural and recreational activities, while being a key support for parents and guardians who, at this time of year, are concerned with the best way to occupy the free time of their students while they work».

The municipality reveals that «this year, children and young people on active holidays will be able to experience healthy cooking workshops, interactive games and plastic expressions at the Municipal Library, recreational and cultural visits, traditional games, watching movies, going to the beach in Alagoa/ Altura, judo, mountain biking, tennis, self defense, football, among many other activities».

The Chamber of Castro Marim adds that golf will also be highlighted in the activities, «following a protocol signed at the end of May between the Municipality of Castro Marim, Castro Marim Golfe and Quinta do Vale Golf ».

Enrollment is also open to children and young people from outside the county, and these are limited to the number of places available. Participation in active holidays costs 40 euros a week, with meal included. Insurance costs 28 euros, paid only once.

"The transport of children to the places of activities will have to be ensured by their parents or guardians", adds the municipality.

The Active Vacations will provide «a summer full of educational and training activities, in addition to breaking routines and promoting harmonious development, contributing to the physical, psychological and social balance of children», adds the Municipality.
