People with special needs will have the opportunity to try sailing, canoeing, stand up paddle, surfing and bodyboarding during the « Adapted Nautical Sports » initiative, which the Nautical Center of Faro will host tomorrow, May 30, between 10:00 and 16:00.
The degree course in Sport at the University of Algarve, the Centro Nautico da Praia de Faro and the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South joined together to promote this inclusive initiative and launched the challenge to various institutions in the region, a challenge that was accepted by the association EXISTIR, APATRIS 21, ACAPO and APEXA.
Altogether, they will enter the water to try different water sports and enjoy the natural surroundings of Praia de Faro 80 users of these institutions.
