The film «That Good Night», filmed in Loulé and one of the last ones by the recently deceased actor John Hurt, will be presented in Cannes, on Sunday, May 21st, in an initiative parallel to the renowned film festival that begins this Wednesday in this French city.

In addition to John Hurt, the film features Charles Dance, Sofia Helin, Max Brown and Erin Richards. On Sunday, «That Good Night» will be screened at Cinema Olympia.

The filming of this feature film took place in the Algarve in 2016, mostly in the municipality of Loulé, namely in the historic city center and in the village of Monte Seco.

This film focuses on the reunion between a father and a son and was one of the last films by the English actor who died earlier this year, a victim of a prolonged illness.

John Hurt has participated in several films for over 6 decades, having been nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor in "The Elephant Man" and Best Supporting Actor in "O Expresso da Midnight". He won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, in “O Expresso da Meia-Noite”, and also won the BAFTA for Best Actor, in “O Homem Elefante”. His career was also marked by his participation in the saga “Harry Potter”», according to Câmara de Loulé.

«That Good Night had the support of the Municipality of Loulé, through the Loulé Film Office, and is, in the view of the municipality, «another production that will contribute to the promotion of the municipality, as it will be exhibited internationally».
