A dissemination session of the Entrepreneurship and Employment Incentive System (SI2E) will be held on May 31, at 15:30 pm, in the auditorium of the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in Querença.

This initiative, promoted by CRESC Algarve 2020, will count with the presence of Nélson de Souza, Secretary of State for Development and Cohesion and of the Local Action Groups (LAG) of the Algarve.

«The relevant role of micro and small companies in the creation of value and employment, and in the diversification and qualification of business bases, particularly in low-density territories or with constraints resulting from high levels of unemployment, advises on diversifying the offer support for entrepreneurship and job creation and was at the basis of the creation of SI2E», says the Algarve's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR).

Due to the nature of the objectives it pursues, the SI2E “will gain greater effectiveness if it is applied in a more adjusted way and closer to the territories in which it wants to promote business investment. That was the motivation for the innovative institution, in terms of the practice of operationalizing incentive systems, of shared management with agents who are closest to its users», he adds.

SI2E will be managed to a large extent by the LAG's, when the incentives result from Community Based Local Development (DLBC) strategies, which have the support and collaboration of CCDR Algarve.

SI2E contributes to and is aligned with the objectives of interrelated public policies, from the outset with the National Program for Territorial Cohesion, approved by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 72/2016, of 24 November, «stimulating the emergence of business initiatives and job creation in low-density territories, promoting the development and economic and social cohesion of the country and the region», says the CCDR.

Not only applying to low-density territories, "the SI2E favors, through specific increases, the investments made in them and above all creates conditions for greater business dynamics by adjusting project typologies to the real conditions of micro and small businesses in the interior". completes the CCDR.
