Seruca Emídio will head the list of the PSD/CDS coalition to the Municipal Assembly (AM) of Loulé. The Loulé Social Democrats and Centrists formalized a coalition on Saturday, May 20, to try to remove the majority from the PS in the elections of October 1st, and announced the official heads of list to all the municipal bodies of Loulé.

José Graça will be, as was already known, the candidate for president of the Chamber, replacing Joaquim Guerreiro, who was the name initially chosen, but who withdrew from the candidacy due to serious health problems.

José Graça was, for a long time, the vice-president of the Loulé Council, currently occupying the position of deputy regional director of the Algarve Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries.

The choice of former mayor Seruca Emídio as head of the list for AM was also known, although officialdom was still lacking.

At the same meeting, candidates for the presidency of the different Parish Councils of Loulé were chosen and announced. Among them, there are several candidates for the positions they currently hold.

This is the case of Sílvia Martins, president of the Parish Council of Alte, who is running for a new term. Deodato João (Salir), Hélder Faísca (São Sebastião) and Margarida Correia (Union of parishes Querença, Tor and Benafim) are also seeking reelection. In Boliqueime, where the PSD is also in power, in the Parish Council, the current president Rui de Sousa Mogo will not be re-candidate, the name chosen being that of Vitorino Lourenço.

In the Parish Councils that have PS presidents, during this term, the PSD/CDS coalition advances with Hélder Contreiras (Almancil), José Costa (Ameixial), Francisca de Sousa (Quarteira) and Fábio Bota (São Clemente).
