This Sunday, the Algarve is under a "yellow warning" due to the forecast of strong winds and also because of the sea frenzy on the south coast, announced the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

Thus, IPMA predicts that the strong wind from East and Southeast, with gusts of up to 75 km/h, should be maintained at least until 15 pm today.

As for the southern Algarve coast, the forecast is for Levante, with waves from the southeast with 2-3 meters, a situation that can continue until 21:00 this Sunday.

IPMA predicts (and has already confirmed) sky with periods of high cloudiness, especially due to medium and high clouds, gradually becoming less cloudy in the afternoon, and increasing cloudiness on the coast south of Cape Carvoeiro, from mid-afternoon. There is also the possibility of scattered showers until mid-afternoon.

Small drop in maximum temperature in the southern region.
