Conversations around books, reading, theater and literature return to the Vicente Campinas Municipal Library, in Vila Real de Santo António, from April 19th to 29th, with another edition of the cycle «Sinónimos de Leitura».

For the sixth consecutive year, and for ten days, an ambitious program brings authors, storytellers, musicians and actors at the same table, in an informal environment, where the exchange of ideas and debate are welcome.

In addition to a vast program that includes presentations, book and magazine launches, daily short story and poetry sessions and conversations with authors, the initiative also reserves space for a book fair, theater, musical moments (opening session) and workshops.

With a poster for all audiences, the Reading Synonyms gives way to the arts, with theater performances, as well as a meeting with the musician Diogo Piçarra, who will perform in a more intimate version with his project «Diogo Piçarra em Pessoa» ( 20th of April).

To broaden the exchange of ideas, singer-songwriter Sérgio Godinho will also show, in Vila Real de Santo António, one of his other facets and present the book «Coração Mais que Perfeito» (April 28), while Carlos Brito will speak at the first person, on the work «Cadeia do Forte de Peniche: how it was lived» (April 27).

The program also includes an oral narration workshop, hosted by the comedian «Serafim», who will also host a storytelling evening at the António Aleixo Cultural Center (28 April). In this regard, writer Pedro Chagas Freitas will also organize a creative writing workshop on 29 April.

Also joining the program are the collective «Poetas do Guadiana»: Mário Sousa, who will present the study «As Canções de Saramago», as well as Paula Amaro and José Cruz.

The cycle «Sinónimos de Leitura» is organized by the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António and by the Municipal Library Vicente Campinas.
