A new Training Center will be born in Parque das Cidades, in Loulé/Faro, where the Algarve Stadium is already installed. The Association of Loulé Municipalities / Faro launched this Wednesday, April 5th, the tender for the execution of this work and will invest 1,25 million euros in an infrastructure that aims to respond to the needs "of countless local teams and the growing number of amateur practitioners" , but that also wins the eye to the many international teams that have been choosing the Algarve for internships.

The investment to be carried out "seeks not only to provide the citizens of the two municipalities with a greater and more adequate offer for sports, but also to attack new ways of stimulating tourism in the low season and promoting the dissolution of the region's seasonality", according to the Chamber in Faro.

With the construction of this new sports infrastructure, Loulé and Faro they want to attract "sports internships from professional football clubs abroad and nationally, guaranteeing the international projection and profitability of the new infrastructures". Along the way, it will also contribute to a greater dynamization than what already exists in Parque das Cidades, which has a soccer stadium with capacity for 25 thousand people.

In the view of the municipality of Faro, there are several factors that will contribute to the success of the Training Center, including "the climate, geography, existing infrastructure, demand and the growing awareness of contemporary societies for the need to adopt healthy habits ».
