There are people, donkeys, dogs and even goats. A path through ancient trees to the calm water lake. There is physical theater, dance, music, laughter, surprises. And food, shared, as well as drink. And a ball, in Kusturica's most ebullient style.

This is the «Rastilho», that the project «till the sea», lights up for these days – from yesterday until tomorrow, April 16, Easter Sunday – in the fields of Bordeira, parish of Aljezur.

There is only one catch: tickets, which cost 8 euros, are sold out.…or almost.

This “Rastilho” is the result of the work of choreographer Madalena Victorino, with artists of various nationalities, residing in the Aljezur and Monchique areas. And the result is a fantastic troupe, which includes Alice Duarte, Albina Petrolati, Ana Ferraz, Ana Raquel Martins, Anitxa, Arantxa Joseph, Ask Hove, Conceição Gonçalves, Enano Torres, Filipe Galvão, Joaquim Madaíl, Júnior, Leo Lobo, Mathilde Major , Nuno Salvado, Patrick Murys, Pedro Salvador, Remi Gallet, Ricardo Machado, Nightingale, Sara Palácios, Sofia Von Mentzingen, Swann Ricchini, Thorsten Grutjen and Tó Mandala.

Those who couldn't see it now, will have to wait for May, for the festival that will close this first cycle of «Lavrar o Mar», always with the support of the 365 Algarve program. But here, as choreographer Madalena Victorino told the Sul Informação, the landscape will be different – the Serra de Monchique – and the time too – at night and with fire.

When you think about it, even those who have the privilege of being able to watch the show these days, in Bordeira, will also want to be in Monchique…
