The “This is 2 LOL!” takes place this Monday, April 3, from 10:00 am, at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School, in Portimão, and will promote products and services for young people but also celebrate the second anniversary of the school newspaper “LOL”.
This event, which is an initiative of the “LOL”, will count on the presence of CP (Portuguese Trains), Movijovem, the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), the University of Algarve, the Linha Internet Segura and from EF (Education First).
There will also be a live broadcast from "LOL TV" to the page of Facebook from the Manuel Teixeira Gomes School newspaper, with the help of Backpack wifi and Telestream.
The "LOL", which has even won the award for “Best Digital School Newspaper in the Country”, was born from a question: “as the school plays a central role in our lives, why should we not emphasize its importance?”.
Thus was born «a place where we could report the various events of great interest to us, which take place throughout our days, lived here at school», says the newspaper.
Then “LOL” was «conquering some milestones that allowed and motivated us to continue the project» such as «reaching 1000 views by 850 users in the first week of existence, which means that the newspaper was seen by 85% of students in this short period of time', he concludes.
