It's a race, but also an opportunity to spend a few hours in full contact with nature, on one of the most emblematic beaches in the Algarve. The Epic Sana Beach Run will be held on March 12, at 10:00 am, at Praia da Falésia, and challenges the people of the Algarve to go out onto the sand to cover one of the two proposed routes, running or walking.
«The initiative can be disputed in the modalities of walking or running (5 or 10 kilometers) and is open to all interested parties. At the end of the route, the winners will be awarded, and the 1st place winner will receive an EPIC Fitness Weekend program that includes 2 nights at the hotel and a personalized fitness plan for those days», according to the Epic Sana Algarve hotel, which organizes the event in partnership with the Free Challenge Association, to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the hotel unit.
Those interested in participating will have to pay 6,5 euros (walk) or 8 euros (run), with the right to receive a t-shirt and a free entry to Aquashow Park. At the end, there is cake, made by pastry chef António Gomes, invited by the birthday boy Epic Sana.
The Epic Sana Beach Run has the support of the Albufeira City Council, the National Maritime Authority, the Areias de São João Sports Club and the Algarve Athletics Association.
