The EN125 will again suffer cuts this Monday night and tomorrow, the 13th and the 14th, as well as perhaps also on the 15th, between 20:00 and 06:00, in the areas of the overpasses of the railway at Maritenda and Fontainhas.

According to a note sent by the concessionaire Rotas do Algarve Litoral to Sul Informação, last week, when the first series of night cuts of the track took place, it was not possible to complete the work "due to unforeseen factors in the task of removing the beams from the overpasses", so that "a readjustment to the conditions initially foreseen" had to be made.

Thus, this Monday, the 13th, between 20:00 pm and 6:00 am, the EN125 will be cut in the Maritenda pontoon area, near Boliqueime.

Tomorrow, the 14th, at the same time, it will be the turn of the Fontainhas pier, near the intersection with traffic lights that gives access to Ferreiras and Albufeira.

"If the works are not completed", a third night of cutting the lane may still be carried out, on Wednesday, March 15, also between 20:00 and 06:00.

The cuts, which will never be implemented at the same time, will be properly marked, as well as the detours for traffic (see maps), which will also be monitored by the GNR.

However, during the day, traffic on the approximately 12 km section of the EN125, between the Benfarras straight and the Fontainhas intersection, is conditioned and subject to alternating traffic passing through the pontoons, so long lines have formed. .

Thus, even outside the hours of night cuts on the main road in the Algarve, to avoid waiting, it is best to use the detours marked by municipal roads or take the Via do Infante.
