The Sports Facilities Rehabilitation Program, designed to support clubs and sports associations with a local base, will be made known in a clarification session that the Municipal Library of Albufeira will host on Thursday, March 30, at 14 pm. The initiative is promoted by the City Council of Albufeira and by the Portuguese Sports and Youth Institute, the program's managing entity.
The objective of the program that will be presented, launched on March 13, is to "contribute to the modernization and rehabilitation of sports facilities at the service of the population", according to the City Council of Albufeira.
«Eligible expenses cover interventions related to the renovation, rehabilitation and conservation of facilities related to the sports practice of clubs and associations, namely: floors, roofs and walls; expansion and modernization of sanitary facilities, changing rooms-bathrooms and valences; construction and repair of fences, ramps and handrails; and gas, water and electricity networks and equipment», specified the municipality.
initiatives aimed at “energy efficiency of existing installations and the reduction of energy consumption and improvements to support people with disabilities” may also obtain support.
Applications for this new program are open until April 13th. Priority will be given to projects that involve the financial contribution of local authorities and the applicant entities themselves. Proposals from the collectives must be submitted online.
