João Paulo da Encarnação Santos, president of the Parish Council of Bordeira, in the municipality of Aljezur, died this morning. The Chamber decreed three days of municipal mourning, with the placement of the municipality's flag at half-mast.
In a note published on the website of the Municipality of Aljezur, signed by President José Amarelinho, we read that «it was with the deepest dismay that today, in the morning, we learned of his death» and that it is «a profound and rude blow'.
"We lost a great man and a great mayor", adds the note that highlights "his conduct, commitment and dedication to the council but particularly to his parish".
