Six years later, oLUDO will return to records. The band from Olhão has a new album aimed at March and released, in January, “Abraço”, a theme that serves as a sample of what is to come.

For Davide Anjos, vocalist of the band, «the single reflects the difficulty that was to make the album and the strengths that we think the songs have».

The temporal distance between the two works is reflected in the name given, not only to the theme, but also to the new work. The musician revealed to the Musical-Sul Informação, that “Embrace” «is a word with a very strong meaning for us. It is a form of expression in relation to this work that was done with great difficulty. It took a long time to get all the band elements and musical elements together. It was a very long process».

The absence of the vocalist, for professional reasons, made it more difficult to give a natural sequence to the creation and recordings, something they had achieved both in the EPs "Nascituro" (2009) and "Mil Tentações" (2010), as in the debut in long durations. in “Admiral” (2011).

There was also an attempt by the band to reinvent itself, exploring new paths, with the entry of one more element. «We wanted to try other things, change the sound, it was one of the reasons why we called Teresa. The female voice gave the other line we were looking for», explains Davide Anjos.

The test for collaboration on the new album had already taken place when Teresa Aleixo accompanied the band on the Latitude 37º tour (2015-16) which had enough time for the six to hit the stride.

Davide Anjos considers that «it is a much more “accessible” record because the sound reaches everyone, however it maintains the oLUDO language, those more cross, more organic elements, which we have always sought, managed to maintain».

The end result ended up pleasing the band. «From the composition work, to pre-production and mixing, we achieved a very interesting work, with a very homogeneous sound, very direct», concludes Davide Anjos.?
