The hacker group AnonGhost Portugal joined the voices against the exploitation of hydrocarbons in the Algarve and blocked the website of the Regional Agency for Energy and Environment of the Algarve (AREAL).
Since Wednesday, and at least until late afternoon today, who opens the AREAL website he only sees the group's symbol, with a black background, over a message: Oil-Free Algarve!/Against Oil and Natural Gas Exploitation in the Algarve/We're Watching and Let's Fight With All Our Means!/ “We are Anon Ghost Portugal, We are legion, We do not forgive, We do not forget, Expect us”.
In a message on its Facebook page, published this Thursday, AnonGhost Portugal reinforced: «This is just the beginning, Expect Us!!».
