Applications for the new edition of the project “Activar a Baixa” in Faro, have already opened. As in previous years, the initiative will promote a contest that offers stores, with “nice” income, to those who have good business ideas.
According to Bruno Lage, president of Ambifaro, which promotes the initiative, the project «as in previous years, aims to promote the revitalization and dynamization of Baixa Farense, stimulating initiative, creativity, innovation, merit and entrepreneurship»
The Chamber of Faro explains that «the selection of projects will be carried out through a competition and is aimed at all national and foreign citizens, with special attention to products and services related to sustainability, environment, arts, crafts, local and/or regional identity, innovation, creativity, tradition and culture and that potentially are an asset to the commerce of Baixa Farense».
Applications can be formalized until February 24th, using the available form. on the Ambi websitefaro, or in yours Facebook page.
The organization “also invites all store owners who are vacant to join this initiative, making their spaces available for this project through a lease at “controlled costs”. For this, they should contact Ambifaro to formalize your interest in joining this project.
The “Activar a Baixa” initiative has already gained international recognition, having been one of the finalists for the “City to City Barcelona FAD Award” which “aimed at recognizing urban processes and initiatives that lead to transformations in the reality and life of a given city ».
