Alcoutim's children and young people will continue to have access to free guitar lessons, as part of a cooperation agreement between the Municipal Council and the Algarve Guitar Association (AGA).
As part of the agreement between the two entities, whose renewal was approved this Thursday by the Alcouteneja municipality, the Chamber provides a budget of 14 thousand euros and, in return, the AGA guarantees that younger residents have access to music education, without pay.
«Based on the agreement, valid for one year, AGA provides guitar lessons to several dozen children and young people in Alcoutim and Martim Longo, guarantees the promotion of public hearings and organizes participation in musical meetings in the context of the Youth Orchestra Guitars of the Algarve», explained the Chamber of Alcoutim.
For the municipality, this musical education project “has assumed a great importance in the municipality, not only in the training of our young people, but also in terms of boosting local cultural life”.
