A “nineteenth-century tour through different universes, where affections are expressed with elegance in the timbre of the guitar” by the Algarve artist Paulo Galvão.

This is the proposal of another concert of the “Guitars & Heritage” initiative, on the theme “romantic landscape”, to be held on Friday, February 24, at 21 pm, at Igreja da Alva, in Aljezur.

This artist will play, for example, songs by José Ferrer y Esteves, Johannes Brahms or Francisco Tárrega.

Paulo Galvão was born in Portimão, in 1967, having started his musical apprenticeship with Luís Robert at the Escola de Música of Grupo Coral de Lagos. Afterwards, he continued his studies at the National Conservatory, in Lisbon, where he completed his guitar course in 1992, in the class of Professor Manuel Morais.

His discography includes titles such as “Moçárabe”, a CD directed by Eduardo Ramos, and he was also part of Duo Galvão, where he recorded albums such as “Recital”.

This initiative “is part of the strategy of the Academy of Music of Lagos and the Municipality of Aljezur to promote the arts in the context of tangible heritage”.

“Guitars & Heritage” is part of 365 Algarve.
