On the 25th of February, the municipality of Alcoutim will host the 3rd edition of the “4 Horas TT Pereiro – Alcoutim” motorcycle endurance race. The event will take place near the town of Pereiro and will include a 6 km circuit built for the event, around a dam.
According to the Alcoutim Chamber, the competition, which in previous editions had the presence of the greatest national figures in the sport, has specific areas for the public that allow them to watch the competition “in safety and with full visibility of the course”.
The initiative, whose main objective is to «project the potential of the region for the holding of cross-country competitions», is a joint organization of the association Inter-vivos – Youth Association of the Northeast of Algarve and Grupo Desportivo de Alcoutim, in collaboration with the local authority which, for this purpose, granted the sports associations a financial support of 6 thousand euros. The competition also has the support of the Union of Parishes of Alcoutim and Pereiro.
